Here are ten of my favorite covers from the books I read in 2014. I
choose them because they are not only visually interesting but they go so well
with the text. I look at them and I'm taken right back into the magic and mood of the stories.

These are great! I love the cover of Mr. Loverman. He definitely looks like a Loverman! So cute!
ReplyDeleteHe's kind of a cad, but quite wonderful, in his way.
ReplyDeleteI'm fascinated by Leaving the Sea with those bits of paper adrift amongst the waves, and I like the cutout profile of the female for An Unnecessary Woman.
ReplyDeleteIt really goes with the stories. Every time I finished one of the stories I would sit back and study the cover. Like you said in your entry these covers "are not separate from the content within."
DeleteLove the first book cover! I would definitely pick that up based on the cover alone! :P
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I picked most of these books because of reviews and recommendations. The two I first picked up because of the covers were Bedrock Faith and Shotgun Lovesongs.
ReplyDeleteThat first book cover is sooooooooooooooooo visually appealing to me! Thanks for linking up with #amonthoffaves!
ReplyDeleteThank you for being one of the hosts!
ReplyDeleteI really like the Mr. Loverman cover, too. An Unnecessary Woman is quite unique.
ReplyDeleteThey will be featured again in tomorrow's post.
ReplyDeleteGreat selection. I love the cover of the Ben Marcus. I have a copy of The Flame Alphabet and the cover artwork is very similar in style.
ReplyDeleteYes. same artist, Peter Mendelsund.
DeleteI love the Diversity in the cover selections. Mr. Loverman is a great cover.
ReplyDeleteI usually don't like photographs of people on covers of fiction books but this one is perfect for the story.
